Biafra: The Forgotten Republic

“When elephants fight, it is the grass that suffers”. Imagine that one of the elephants is badly injured. The fight has not just cost him the grass which he used to feed on, but in the process of fighting it lost family members, both nuclear and extended. It also lost its means livelihood just because it wanted to prove a point even though he might have had a right to prove that point.
Have you imagined? That was the situation of the in the case of Nigeria’s 30-month long Civil War, mostly known as the Biafran War. Many lost lives and livelihoods. Some people have not been found even till this day. And many nurses the wounds of that war like it was yesterday.
This episode takes a bird’s eye view on the war that almost divided the entity called Nigeria. It’s effects on the people who suffered the mist losses and how the situation of things are in present times.
